Now this one has me more than a little excited! Check this, the Cork Jazz Big Band, a twenty piece jazz orchestra, yes, that's twenty of the feckers, are starting a new regular Monday night gig on the 30th January at Cyprus Avenue.

Personally, I'm expecting something fabulous so I hope I'm not going to be disappointed. I'm wondering if one of them will be standing in front, baton in hand, conducting the rest of them just like the big bands of the forties and fifties. To be honest, I have no idea what they are going to play but I already feel like Count Basie is coming to town!
